exactly...and modifying and adding new stuff doesn't make it smaller,u know ? :]
yes, i made a mistake writing that blub should stay small. i wanted to say something different by this. i mean small = possibility to run the game without problems even on old computers. of course, new stuff is needed, but code optimization is important too. players shouldn't suffer from new version (like it was with 1.0). -
good point! got several iptimisation ideas; I'll try to implement.
Thx for feedback
Markus -
I've noticed one bug. When there are 2 players in game room and maximum amount of them is 2, it's not possible to add bots until you extend maximum players.
Also one suggestion for Ubuntu version of blub: what about creating your own ppa-repository? Will be much better then installing deb packages -
1st bugf will change:
2nd bug: will add the game to the Ubuntu Software Center as commerical software for 0€Have fun

Oh, that's even better! Cool! And one more small suggestion: button "Ready" for spectators should be deactivated, or instead there can be button to watch/not to watch the match.
P.S. 26.04 will be new Ubuntu's release. I hope i'll be able to install at least 1.2 alpha version there
Or developing will take much more time then i want?
-
I admit i'm too much in love with the new game... I'll try to find the time for blubVolley again.
Thx for ur patience
Markus -
Today i received a suggestion for replay function, so i write it here: it'll be good to have a button to see who played in game, when you click on a replay.
I extended this idea and painted this "screenshot" (there are not only players, but also all statistics of match - settings, score, played time):
Markus, is it possible?Maybe not for 1.2, but for 1.3
-
Yesssss that's bossible and not so hard to implement.
Good idea, thx
Markus -
Oh that's good and i hope you'll make it in 1.2! Will be very useful feature!
-
By the way, there was one more suggestion: to make search of players in replays, but i thought it will be to hard to implement. Or i've mistaken about this?
-
oh, yes, that's a bit harder, but nice idea
Markus
-
is there a date for the release of 1.2 ?
-
I guess there is no date even for a beta-version. So it's too early to speak about release
-
I promised to say new ideas for 1.2, so here they are.
First one was told in blobby-liga chat: admin-panel or something like this, where admins can ban or unban player etc.
But main idea was: smiles in chat. Maybe static as on this forum, or even animated, if it's possible, like "Koloboks" smiles
What do you think about these features?
And i forgot your answer about user profile. Will it be done in new version, even with simple fields (spoken languages, real name, age, skype account etc) or there will be only rating on blub site, without any other info? -

nice idea, really would love to see that feature too. However MyGUI, the library used for the GUI doesn't support that. And i forgot your answer about user profile. something like that is in development. Because the will be a ranking and a small "league" their will be more information about every player. This will all be in web, not in the GUI. U already CAN access these sites/pages in the current 1.2 version. It's like an integrated webbrowser, with tabs.Thx again for great feedback

great, that's what i wanted -
maybe some new dews, about the progress ?
-
Markus is developing another game at the moment, so unfortunately there are no news about blubVolley 1.2 yet. After the new game will be released, working on 1.2 will be continued.
-
totally correct!
